Дольше всех в актёрском составе сериала продержался Саймон Раус, исполнитель роли суперинтенданта Джека Мидоуза с 1992 года. В этой же роли он появлялся на экране и в 1990-1991 гг. прежде, чем попасть в постоянный актёрский состав.
Вначале вымышленный полицейский участок Сан-Хилл располагался в Тауэр-Хамлетс, реально существующем боро Лондона. Впоследствии его «перенесли» в вымышленный боро Кэнли, чьё расположение на карте британской столицы тем не менее соответствует расположению Тауэр-Хамлетс.
