В восьмом сезоне «Feuer und Flamme» меняет локацию, так как новые серии были созданы в сотрудничестве с профессиональной пожарной охраной Дуйсбурга. WDR выбрал новое место, поскольку работа пожарной охраны там должна предложить больше разнообразия, например, с гарнизоном портовой охраны в крупнейшем в мире внутреннем порту. Съемки в Дуйсбурге начались в июне 2023 года и заняли в общей сложности 70 дней. В центре внимания 8-го сезона «Feuer und Flamme», помимо спасательной команды портовой охраны, находятся сотрудники пожарной части №3 в северной части города и экстренные службы спасательного вертолета «Christoph 9».
