В пятом сезоне пожарные и стажеры продолжают показывать зрителям в своей неподражаемой манере эмоциональную и искреннюю картину своей работы, которая состоит не только из масштабных операций, но всегда выполняется с душой и сердцем. Они комментируют происходящее с мудростью, страстью и состраданием. В шести новых сериях зрители увидят, как экстренные службы, помимо прочего, тушат сложный пожар в здании. Они присутствуют при пожаре в камине, который невозможно потушить водой, и из первых уст узнают, как пострадавших приходится спасать из автомобиля и оказывать им медицинскую помощь после дорожного происшествия. В течение 50 дней подряд, 24 часа в сутки с середины апреля по начало июня 2021 года, съемочные группы сопровождали пожарных региона Рур в их трудных буднях.
