Ужасный и таинственный враг нападает на маленькую деревню Шу и его друга Клюка. Великий воин Зола, а за ним и Дзиро, помогут им открыть в себе способность призывать тени (в форме всевозможных монстров), чтобы сражаться со злыми захватчиками. Четверо, называющие себя Призывателями Теней, отправляются в путешествие, чтобы найти всех остальных мальчиков, обладающих тенью, и победить злого Нене, который возглавляет Великого Ригана — армию, напавшую на Талту. Мальчики-призыватели на самом деле являются потомками легендарных Солдат Света, которые веками спасали мир от зла. К группе также присоединятся прекрасная Марумаро и милая Букет.
