Наши герои, магические агенты Ордена Девятого Пера, оказываются в смертоносных просторах пустыни Анаурок: расколотой пустоши, которая до сих пор излучает катастрофическую магию падения Нетерила. Хрупкий мерцающий барьер — это всё, что отделяет Фэйрун от арканных ужасов, погребенных под дюнами, и эта защита дает сбой. Если этого было недостаточно, путешествие наших искателей приключений будет далеко не спокойным. С одной стороны, им приходится иметь дело с фанатичными Приносящими Космический Рассвет, которые стремятся разрушить барьер в погоне за собственным видением; с другой — с Красными Волшебниками Тэя, которые маневрируют в тенях, жаждя захватить арканную силу, запертую за стенами барьера.
